Reading

At Broadgate, reading is an important part of children's learning. The children have lots of opportunities to read at school. We also ask that you read with your child at home, everynight, for a few minutes at a time. This could be your child's school reading book or a story that you share at bedtime.

Homework

The children receive spellings and homework on a Friday.  Spellings will be tested the following Friday and homework will be marked and shown during show and tell on a Wednesday for Year 1P and on a Thursday for Year 1DR.

Our Curriculum is constantly evolving and we consider our planning to be working documents.
