We advise that P.E. kits are left in school on your child's peg.
Reading
As a school we place a high value on reading at home and we have the expectation that parents/carers will read daily with their children at home. Children will bring home their reading records and a book each night but this must come back to school the next day.
We will change books on Mondays if children have read at home and parents indicate that they are ready for a new book.
Tapestry
Parents have access to Tapestry where photographs of their child's learning will be uploaded regularly. Parents are encouraged to post photos and notes from home too.
This half term, Reception pupils will be learning about...
Over the coming weeks we will be teaching the remainder of the set 1 sounds in phonics. In maths we will focus on becoming experts in the numbers 6-10. We will be playing lots of fun games inside and outdoors.
This half term we will be learning about our families. We will be talking about the many different types of families and various family members.
Our key text is 'The Three Little Pigs.' Linked to this we will be learning about houses and homes around the world.
We will be visiting the ICT suite and learning how to log on to the school network. We will focus on early online safety such as keeping our passwords safe.
Later in the half term we will be investigating materials. We will be learning the names of the different materials and thinking about their properties.
