New Reception (2026) open nights on Tuesday 30th June & Wednesday 1st July.

Headteacher's Welcome

Broadgate is a school full of joy, ambition and potential - I am both proud and privileged to lead this vibrant and caring school community. Having served as Deputy Head for eight prior years before stepping into this role, I already knew what a special place Broadgate is — but as Headteacher that realisation and understanding has strengthened and deepened considerably.

At Broadgate, we are deeply committed to providing a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Our talented staff work tirelessly to ensure that each child feels valued, supported and challenged to achieve their very best.

Together, we’ve continued to build on the school’s strong foundations, nurturing a shared commitment to working closely with parents, carers and the wider community to ensure our school continues to thrive. Together, we can celebrate our children’s successes, embrace new opportunities and navigate challenges with resilience and determination.

I look forward to getting to know you all even better in the months ahead and strengthening the vital home-school partnership. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any queries or questions. We value your input and believe wholeheartedly in the power of collaboration. Please use the links above to browse our website. It contains everything we think you need to know about life at Broadgate.

Warmest regards,

Sarah Qualtrough.

Our Photos...

Our fantastic contestants in the final of Broadgate's Got Talent 2026! The array of talent on show during each phase of the competition was absolutely incredible, from musicians to magicians and gymnastics to stand-up comedy - the children did themselves (and all of us!) proud. Getting up in front of anyone and performing can be such a daunting experience so it was fantastic to see how many children overcame their nerves and showcased themselves so wonderfully!

Staying Safe at School in the Sun
Dear Parents and Carers, It seems summer has finally decided to make a proper appearance - it's certainly been a hot one across school today! While we’re all enjoying the sunshine, please be assured that we are taking every sensible precaution to keep children safe, comfortable and well during the current hot weather. To help us, please ensure your child comes to school each day with: - A sun hat - A large water bottle (which can be refilled throughout the day) - High-factor sunscreen generously applied before leaving home We have built MANY additional hydration breaks into the day, staff are actively encouraging regular drinking and children will be directed towards shaded areas whenever appropriate. As Miss Thompson informed Reception and Nursery, the EYFS Sports Day start time has been brought forward to 9.30am tomorrow to help avoid the hottest part of the morning. We are continuing to follow all relevant guidance and are striking a careful balance between keeping children cool and safe whilst still allowing them to enjoy fresh air, outdoor learning and the activities they love. Thank you for your support. Rest assured, we’re keeping a very close eye on conditions and are doing everything we can to ensure the children remain happy, healthy and comfortable during this spell of hot weather. Stay cool everyone! The Broadgate Team
